Morocco 2023-2024 Day 20 (1/7/2024) - Ifrane

To our surprise, as we looked out the window in the morning, the buildings in the distance did not look like anything we had seen in Morocco to date. The architetcture was more like the Alps with steep sloping roofs, unlike most of the country where the roofs are flat or have a patio on the roof.  During the French occupation of Morocco, this was a French outpost, so they built it to remind them of the French Alps.

We decided to take a walk around the grounds of the  hotel.

Still decorated for Christmas.

Beautiful indoor and outdoor pools

One of the staff ladies making bread the traditional moroccan way in a stone oven.

They had a menagerie of animals on the hotel compound, in the upper cages there were Peacocks, doves, Pigeons, etc.

When we got back to the hotel they had moved us to another suite as our suite was already booked for that night.  The new suite was like a log cabin with two bedrooms, three bathrooms and a living room
