Morocco 2023-2024 Day 12 (12/30/2023) - Marrakech

There is so much to see in Marrakech you can't do it in a day.

Our hotel was huge approximately 10 acres so we got in a lot of walking on the grounds

The rooms were set up as Riads.  A Riad has a courtyard (normally with a tree or trees in the center) surrounded with rooms or apartments.

With all the walking, this was what I felt like.

The Jardin Majorelle (Majorelle Gardens) is a botanical garden created by a former army officer, but had fallen into ruins, It was purchased by Yves Saint Laurent, who restored it to its former glory and added a lot to it.

The grave and memorial of Yves Saint Laurent and his life partner Pierre Berge

The shade of Blue and Yellow were perfected by Yves Saint Laurent

At the gardens is the Yves Saint Laurent Museum

After I snapped this picture the guard informend me that photos were not allowed in the museum.

Oliveri Gelato (over the top delicious)
