Morocco 2023-2024 Day 26 (1/13/2024) - M'diq To Tangier
Waking up in M'diq and looking out over the Mediterranean was incredible. Another suite that the kids put us in, we have never been so spoiled. Sofitel Tamuda Bay Resort.
THis was the balcony for our room, complete with spa
Heated Pool
Grassy area between teh hotel and the beach
Beautiful Beach
Even had swings on the beach
The assistant Manager of the hotel spotted us with the bears so we explained that they had travelled all over the world with us.
She decided we need to add the hotel's mascot "Sofi" complete with a Bebber hat
Heading for Tangier. This area us much more modern than many of the places we have visited.
The point across the bay is Ceuta. There are two town at this point and at officially part of Spain, but Morocco is trying to regain control of the territory.
Looking down on the point of Ceuta as we transited the road over to Tangier
Tha land in the distance is actually Spain, this looking across the Staight of Gibraltar. Unfortunately Gibraltar was shrouded in clouds so we only got a glimpse
Lots of ships in the straight
Tangier has built a huge port outside of the city, now the largest port on the African Continent
The port goes on for miles
Heading into downtown Tangier
The Historic El Minza Hotel where we are staying
Anna Marie used to work for Carlson Wagonlit Travel, so had to send her this picture when we
saw it a few doors down from our hotel
The bears likes our view
Our balcony overlooked the bay and old part of the city
Lights of the city
