Oahu Day 3 Paradise Cove Luau

Joseph had a Dental appoint, so we started the day off slow then in the afternoon headed off to Ko Olina for a Luau at Paradise Cove. The Luau there has won the award for Best Luau on Oahu every year since 2014 for good reason.  One of the best we have ever been to.  Instead of the normal, eat and watch a show, they have activities for everyone to participate in before the meal.

Start off with a Mai Tai

You could have a Polynesian Tattoo (Temporary One)

Spear Throwing

Equivalent of Bowling in Hawaiian, they had a game where you get a stone and a piece of wood about 10 inches long, the object was to get both between two pegs in the ground.

Rides on an Outrigger

Time for More Mai Tais

One of the Hawaiian Dancers climbed the Palm Tree and Showered
the crowd with Flower Pedals

Hula Dancers before the Emu Ceremony

Opening the Emu (cooking Pit) and taking out the Roast Pig

Parading the Pig

Sunset

They put on a great Hula show after dinner, representing the various Polynesian Cultures

Mistress of Ceremonies and great singer

Hula to the "Hawaiian Wedding Song"
