7-9-2020 Really Rainy Night on Wednesday

Unlike California where we get a little drizzle and call it rain, they got 2 1/2 inches in one night here in Minnesota. At 1:30 in the morning the hail started about the size of marbles,  and at 3:00 AM a second round started, a flash of lightning then we heard a loud crack that we thought was thunder.  It set off the alarm in the car, so I had to get up and reset it.  In the Morning we found that a tree about 50 feet tall broke and slammed down across the neighbor's (Cecile's Brother) driveway.  Fortunately it fell that direction, because if it had fallen towards Bob & Linda's it would have destroyed our car.  The weather has cleared back up and the sky and lake are beautiful.  The Loons on the lake have a baby that has grown 5 times the size from the time we arrived.

Bob used his truck to pull the tree out of the way.

What was left to the tree after the storm. If we had parked where we usually parked, the tree would have come down on the top of the car.
