Morocco 2023-2024 Day 7 (12/25/2023) Down the Coast to Tagahzout

Christmas morning and we walk through te lobby of the hotel to the sound of Christmas Carols sung in Arabic and French One of the staff that stopped to talk with us As we were driving down the coast we came across trees filled with goats.  They are eating the Argan nuts that grow on the trees Sarah pointing out some of the goats to Cecile The goat herder handed Sarah a baby Goat Cute little guy wanted to go with Sarah These trees have sharp spines (Thorns) in the branches, but it does not seem to bother the goats Stop for a drink and to overlook the ocean Cecile was trying to take a picture of me, but she said I was a smart ass We passed through at village that is known for its Organic Bananas.  Much smaller then the ones we get in the States, but much sweeter and better tasting We stopped at the side of the road where some Nomads were grazing their herd of Camels All sizes and colors They often look like they are smiling They told us to go ahead and pet them, they are very gentle Usin

Morocco 2023-2024 Day 6 (12/24/2023) Essaouira Family Day

12/24 Another busy day. Breakfast at the hotel with our Favorite waiter Omar School that Zak Attended We stopped to see one of their Modern supermarkets and inside was a Belgium Chocolate store They have section for alcohol, no shortage of alcohol here, even Jack Daniels. Deli Fresh Spices Off to the top of the fort at the port (closed yesterday). Local tradition to have your picture taken in this hole with the city in the background Headed up the highest point of the fort Guard Lookout points have holles in the wall pointed three different directions   After that it was off to visit family, we went to the home of Zak's Sister then the home of his younger brother, but got to meet many of the family members.
