8-1-2020 Crater Lake and Rogue River

Got into Medford yesterday afternoon, so off to Crater Lake this Morning, There are a number of fires in Northern California and Southern Oregon, so there is a lot of smoke in the air making a haze.  Fortunately up at the lake there was very little haze, so we had a wonderful day enjoying the lake.

The Deepest Lake in the U.S. at over 1900 Feet Deep, also has the cleanest water.
The deep Blue color is because of the depth, the other wavelengths of light are
absorbed by the lake and only the blue is reflected.

There are Many picturesque barren trees that make great pictures

Along the Rogue River on the way home we found a turn off for a Natural Bridge, which is actually a place where the river drops into a Lava Tube and emerges about 30 yards down stream.
