6-1-2020 to 6-5-2020 Florence, Oregon

After a relaxing morning and breakfast, we headed on to the Thousand Trails in Florence Oregon (Thousand Trails South Jetty).  Nice leisurely drive with minimal traffic.  Enjoyed the beautiful Coastline, cute towns and lakes along the way.  The campground here, has secluded sites tucked in the trees. There are wild Rhododendrons and wild Irises along our road.

6-2-2020  Beautiful Florence
Wonderful Day in Florence and area today.  Walked through the wharf area along the Siuslaw River.  Great gift shops and even a Rum Tasting room, Stillwagon Distillery (front half of a Barber Shop).  Had a fun time with the girl offering samples.  18 different flavors of Rum. Local small batch distiller.

After strolling around town we took a drive over to the Heceta Head Lighthouse and took the hike up the hill to the lighthouse.  Half Mile uphill from the
parking lot.

6-3-2020  Just a relaxing day, enjoying our campsite.  It is quiet and secluded.  Got another chance to bathe and groom the dogs and did some odd jobs around the motorhome.

6-4-2020 Great Day for a Drive. Our Campground is in the Heart of the Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area so we took a drive today to check it out.  A drive along the North Jetty gives a view of the Harbor (really Small One), there is a Coast Guard Station, but no public access.

After the drive along the North Jetty, We were headed back to the RV Park on South Jetty Road, so we decided to take it to the end to see what was there.  The dunes are fully in bloom at present, there is a brush with yellow flowers called a Sweet Broom that covers the dunes.  Absolutely Spectacular.

6-5-2020 Relaxing Day
Just stayed in enjoying the RV and playing games.  Got things ready to move again in the morning aired up the tires in the car, checked fluid levels etc. and packed away outside campsite items.  Had a nice intimate dinner for two and enjoyed our final day in Florence.

The dogs decided to relax too.
