6-26-30-2020 Weekend Family Visits

Image
The weekend was busy with lots of visitors coming to the cabin to meet or see us.   Before arriving we got a chance to spend some time in the lake swimming, Cecile and Linda got on the floaties and Cecile went tubing behind the pontoon boat.   Then all the company started arriving.   Cousins and friends that wanted to meet us.   Sunday we went for a Fish Fry Next door at Cecile’s Brother’s house.   He has over 100 Snow mobiles and rebuilds them.   Has a shed full of working ones and innumerable parts.   Outside he has a bunch of scrap ones.   He refers the scrap yard as Walmart.   When he needs a part he goes to Walmart. 6-25-2020 Relaxing Day to Visit

Image
Spent the day relaxing and visiting.  Went to Sister Cindy's home to see her gardens. She has a small 1 Bedroom Cabin but has a couple of acres of garden, which is her passion.  Loved the Peonies.  After heading back to Linda & Bob's we went on a Pontoon Boat ride around the lake.  It is a lot bigger than it appears from their place as it is an hour glass shape.  Loon (State Bird of Minnesota) Family Loons mate for life and return to the same lake every year. 6-24-2020 Jay Cooke State Park

Brother in Law Bob had to go into Duluth to work for a couple of days, so we took Linda and went to visit the Jay Cooke State Park.  Incredibly beautiful location, with lots of trails.  When we headed back to town we did some shopping for groceries then back to the Cabin.  We headed back to Carlton for dinner at the Street Car Pub & Grill for a great meal, then stopped by Cindy's. 6-22 & 23-2020 Just Relaxing

Image
Just sitting around enjoying the lake and visiting with family.  Cecile's cousin's daughter Erica and her family stopped by for a while then her Cousin Louise and her daughter stopped by.  Her brother and sister in law who lives next door came by in their golf cart.  We went to the Indian campground next to the cabin (where the family's resort used to be), to see the snapping turtle nests. Headed out of Bismarck in rain at 6:30 in the morning heading for Minnesota.  By Fargo we had outrun the rain and had a beautiful drive across Minnesota to Cloquet.  Got the Motorhome in and parked before the rain caught up to us.  Fortunately it was short lived and had a nice afternoon to visit with Bob & Linda.
